On a 90 plus degree day I find myself thinking about the exhausting nature of most track and field events. Sure, when the weather is nice it is enjoyable for participants and fans, but on days like this it is hard on everyone.

Track Computer Game

Track and Field is a direct competition game against the computer or up to 3 other people in 6 athletic events: The 100m, Long Jump, Javelin, 100m Hurdles, Hammer Throw and High Jump. Running speed is controlled by pounding the run buttons as fast as you can or waggling your joystick, and jumping or throwing by holding the jump button and releasing when you have the desired angle.

Track and Field Javelin Throw

One of Tikhon's greatest adversaries last season, Vadim Devyatovskiy (BLR), was breathing down the Champion's neck again, as his on-form throwing made sure it was a tightly contested event. After the second throw both competitors were neck in neck, with Tikhon having a slight advantage but by the end of the fourth throw the eventual winner had already cleared the 79m mark three times, and went on to produce a mammoth distance of 81.18m, his longest throw of the competition. His compatriot had to make do with silver, and a best throw of 78.10m gained in the final round.
